Dear Faith Community Church Family,
Any day now, the leaves will start to turn to officially starting the fall season. They prepare for the winter as a time to lie dormant, waiting for the warmth of the spring to signal new buds and branches to form. Trees don’t have branches to see the sunlight, nor do they have leaves all the time to know that the spring sun has returned. By the mystery of God’s created order, He still made them able to differentiate their times of rest and times of growth.
In our walks with the Lord, we can often ignore signs for us to rest and signs for us to grow. Let us hear the call to grow up into the fullness of Christ according to God’s leading with His Word and Spirit, not according to our own whims.
This Sunday we’ll focus on Colossians 1:9-14 as we continue our sermon series Captivated with Christ. Pray for Pastor Rhett as he labors in prayer and study for preaching this Sunday.

Do You Have a Praise or Prayer Request?
We want to know how we can best pray for you. To submit a praise or prayer request on Sundays, fill out one of the blue prayer request cards in the Narthex, then place the card in the offering plate following the sermon. You may also give it to a pastor, elder, or staff member. If you have a prayer request during the week, feel free to fill out a card and place it in the office mailbox at the church, or give it to a pastor or the office manager. Finally, you may also call, text, or email the office with praises and prayer requests.
