Dear Faith Community Church Family,
Our fall ministry kickoff, Vision Sunday, is quickly approaching! We are excited to have Pastor Rhett back in the office and his family back in worship with us, and we are ready to begin our sermon series, Captivated, in the book of Colossians this Sunday. Our sermon text is Colossians 1:1-2, and Pastor Rhett will give us an introduction to the letter of Colossians as a whole when he preaches.
I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on how the Lord has been at work in your life over this summer season. Think back to key sermons, prayers, personal devotions, or conversations with friends. Now hear this: it is the will of God for you that you grow in Him and bear much fruit. Said another way, God has mulled it over in His mind and worked so certainly that you would come to know Him through His Son Jesus by the working of the Holy Spirit. God has your salvation and your growth in faith always on His mind. He passionately works that you would grow up into the full glory He has prepared for all His people. God’s will for you is His striving for your good and His glory.

Prayer Request Instructions
If you have a prayer request on Sundays, find one of the blue Prayer Request cards in the Narthex and fill it out. Then, place the Prayer Request card in the offering plate after the sermon, give it to a pastor, elder, or staff member, or place it in the copy room mailbox for the office. If you have a prayer request during the week, feel free to fill out a card and place it in the office mailbox at the church or give it to a pastor or the office manager. Finally, you can also call, text, or email the office with prayer requests. Faith Community Church is a community of prayer, and we celebrate that the Lord lavishes His favor upon us time and again as we lay our requests before Him in the name of Jesus our Lord.
